Get involved

As of spring 2024 we need you help!

The good news is that there are many ways you can help us!

VOLUNTEER – we are currently looking for volunteers to help (9:30-12:30) at our busy sessions on one or more of: Tuesdays, Thursday, Fridays and one Saturday a month during term time. Duties include helping members to choose toys, checking and cleaning returned toys, sorting out donations, tidying up the borrowing rooms and stay-and-play area. Volunteering at the toy library not only helps us but we can give you valuable work experience and a reference after completing 6 months with us.

BECOME A TRUSTEE – we are recruiting new trustees for our charity. If you are prepared to commit some hours every month, are a good team player, and are interested in helping your local community, please get in touch! If you also have expertise in any of the following areas: fund raising; finance; communications; HR; events, early years education, so much the better but it’s not essential!

As a charity we are committed to equity, diversity and inclusion and welcome applications from those within groups who are currently under-represented.

If you are interested, please email Info@charltontoylibrary.org.uk and we will arrange an informal conversation with one of our trustees.

DONATE – Charlton Toy Library is a small registered charity. It is an independent voluntary group which has to secure its own funding. That’s why fundraising is a vital part of the Toy Library’s day to day running. You will always find us selling new and used toys, organising cake sales and holding raffles. See the links below for ways to donate.
