The good news is that there are many ways you can help us!

VOLUNTEER – JOIN OUR TEAM!

From time to time we are looking for volunteers to support our busy sessions (9.30am – 12.30 pm) on one or more of the following days: Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and one Saturday a month during term time.

Duties include:

Helping members choose toys
Checking and cleaning returned toys
Sorting out donations
Tidying up the borrowing rooms and Stay & Play area

We are specifically looking for:

A volunteer with IT experience to help with some project work
A volunteer to help during the stay-and-play session on Thursdays (9:30-12:30) during term-time.
A volunteer to run a singing or sensory session on Thursdays (10:30-11:00) during term-time.
A volunteer to run a singing session on the second Saturday of each month (10:30-11:00) during term-time.
Volunteering at the Toy Library is a great way to meet new people, gain valuable work experience, and support a much-loved local charity. We can also provide a reference after 6 months of volunteering with us.

DONATE – Charlton Toy Library is a small registered charity. It is an independent voluntary group which has to secure its own funding. That’s why fundraising is a vital part of the Toy Library’s day to day running. You will always find us selling new and used toys, organising cake sales and holding raffles. Payroll Giving

Payroll Giving is a simple, tax effective way to make a regular donation. Donations made through the scheme are taken from your gross pay.
If your employer is already part of Payroll Giving then you can use Payroll Giving to make donations to us.

Donate Toys or other items

Any unwanted presents or outgrown toys? We are happy to take any good quality toys. Also we are always in need of baby equipment, craft materials, toilet roll, cleaning materials, antibacterial wipes, etc.
