We appreciate that times have got tougher for everyone recently but there are people locally who are facing a more difficult time than others, not even being able to afford food. This Christmas we are reaching out to our wonderful Community and to ask for your help in buying a Christmas present for 70 disadvantaged children who are supported by our Outreach Service. We would also like to give 40 struggling Outreach families a £50 food voucher at Christmas, so that they can also enjoy some fresh and healthy food. 

Our Outreach worker, Sharon Jay, will deliver the Christmas presents and food vouchers to the families we support just before the Christmas holidays. She used to do this every year with her son Ben. Sadly Ben passed away in February this year at the young age of 17, from a rare form of Cancer (HCC). Ben was always a big help to our Outreach families, especially at Christmas time. Sharon and Ben used to deliver together all the presents and food vouchers, putting a beautiful smile on people’s faces. This is what Ben enjoyed most, making a difference to people’s lives. This year we are reaching out to our Community and would like to dedicate our Christmas Appeal to the memory of Ben Jay.

If we exceed our £2,000 target, the remaining funds will go towards the much-needed running costs of the Toy Library, a small registered charity, and our outreach project. Your help and generosity will make a huge difference to our Outreach families. Without your help some children will not receive any Christmas presents at all and some families will not have any food on their table this Christmas.
